I am 28 years old and married to Jared, an advertising guru with large biceps who calls me “Sugarhips.” In January of 2008, our family expanded to include the planet’s most adorable little boy, Judah Allen. We are also the proud owners of Murphy Dogg, an obsessive-compulsive mutt of indeterminate breed.
I am a senior fiction editor for a small publishing company. This fabulous job allows me to combine my loves of literature and editing, all while working at the world’s best office [my living room], which has some incredibly comfortable office furniture [my sofa] and very pleasant co-workers [Judah and Murphy].
Last summer we relocated to Chicago, Illinois. We have a loft apartment in Bucktown, one of the quaint neighborhoods near downtown. We live across the street from a park, we can hear the L train outside our window, and we almost never drive our car. After six years of living in the ‘burbs, we are wondering why it took us this long to go urban.
