We had a great weekend in Cincinnati with our friends Dave and Sarah. It had been a whole MONTH since their visit up to Chicago to see us, so another trip was due! Besides, we hadn’t been back to Cincinnati since we moved away just over a year ago, so the trip was a great excuse to visit our old stomping grounds and drive familiar streets again. What wasn’t so fun was seeing our old house, whose new owners thought it would be a great idea to nix adornments such as flowers and hanging baskets in favor of assorted of lawn furniture and giant rocks. Ah well, such is life.
We got to taste Sarah’s famous meat-a-ball-a subs again (they must be pronounced this way); browse the fares at our former Saturday-morning haunt, Findlay Market; eat at the swanky and delicious Honey–this time with kiddos (who behaved themselves quite well); and visit their church on Sunday.
Sarah’s got it all captured on film, so click here to see even more footage of the weekend.

We’re so glad that you guys came. Thanks for making the trip. I was quite proud of our kiddos at Honey. They did a great job. (Minus Jackson’s little shrieks – but at least they were HAPPY shrieks, right?)
Can’t wait to come and visit you in your new place!

Wait! Exchanging flowers and hanging baskets for rocks and lawn furniture…sounds like a good deal to me. But then, I’m pretty lazy!
You have a beautiful family!
